You know I’ve heard those commercials that say, “What can a Real Estate Professional do for you?” And subconsciously I thought, they can show you houses, tell you all the good, remain quite on the bad (if you don’t have the good sense to see it), and sign you up quick to take your money, that’s what they can do for you! That was, of course, until I met Melanie White. This woman is a credit to her profession!
Saw a house in my neighborhood listed by this company I was interested in looking at, so I used the form they have on the their website to express interest and to request a showing. Got a message that said something to the effect of "thank you for contacting us, an agent will contact you shortly". Well apparently "shortly" has a different meaning to them than it does to me, because it's been over a month now and not a word. Guess it's back to Coldwell-Banker since I had a great experience with them buying my current house that I'm now looking to move out of and into something bigger.
Melanie made suggestions that made my company operate more proficiently, she gave me ideas I’d never heard of, she knew things off the top of her head that I’m sure others would have had to look up. She knew who to suggest and numbers I could call that were beyond the scope of her “job.” Not only that, but when I had a question, she was quick to get me an answer, even if it took some digging to get that answer! She communicated quickly and clearly, boldly when need be, but I always felt it was with my best interest at heart. I know I was a challenge, but she never flinched or let on that anything we ask of her was anything outside of her job. I’ve worked with others before and I can tell you, she DID go outside of the norm to help us.
When we see good that needs to be praised, we should be quick to do that. This is what I am doing. You are blessed with a wonderful representative and you should be credited with having the good sense to keep her with your company.
She was thorough in her paperwork and caught things I didn’t, simply because I didn’t know what I didn’t know...but she did. She really did “work” for us. This woman not only earned her pay, but she earned my respect. She is a credit to your company and I hope that I am able to bring her more business in the future, be it directly or indirectly through word of mouth. If all real estate professionals were like her, then the profession would be way more respected and sought after instead of feeling like “I can do this myself!”
