Here's the problem.....What they did was fine. The work itself was fine. Problems: They never called to tell us our car was done like they said they would, overcharged us for antifreeze we never asked for (when we had a gallon of our own in the car), and changed a brake light bulb we didn't ask them to, and took nearly 30 minutes to total up our bill (which was, to be fair, reasonable). The bulb needed done, but we NEVER asked them to do it. They offered to take it back out but we had already waited 3 hours at home and 30 minutes while our bill was totaled.
The work was fine, but not worth the hassle, inconvenience, and irritation
I found this place in the Deals magazine. I was kind of nervous going but the place was great! They changed my oil cleaned out my car and changed somethings I didn't even know was wrong with my car! It was so cheap to! I would recommend this place to anyone for a good oil change!
I went into Jerry's a second time for a FREE service engine light inspection. I called almost every auto repair shop in Muncie, and all of them except Jerry's charged for just inspecting the car WITHOUT having any work done. They got the inspection done in 30 minutes, and it was easy to relax in the clean office while waiting. When my car was ready, the mechanic thoroughly explained why my engine light was on and what I can do to prevent any problems in the future. I kept on thinking there would be some sort of hidden fee attached to this free service, but there were none at all! I refuse to go to anyone but Jerry's from now on.
