Terrible. I have been trying to get my things from my unit for a week now and haven't been able. The door has been locked every time I try to get my things. When I can the number on the door, i have either gotten no answer or the person is not actually there. I just went and called and got no answer. When I found a second phone number, they answered right away and were quite rude telling me that I could have gotten my things already. They were nice and helpful and easy to work with in May when I moved my stuff there for the summer, but they must not be the same people that were there before.
Reasonable prices, nice units. I sleep good at night knowing my boat and camper are safely in storage there. Management is easy to deal with and have always responded quickly when needed. Have rec'd them to many others.
Horrible experience! Been here for 9yrs, only because there was no other climate controlled unit in Muncie, but now I hear that Community Storage expanded and has a climate controlled facility on Kilgore/Nebo. I am on my way there. Can never get in to get my stuff, since there are no set office hours and they don't answer their phone. Tired of fighting to access my own stuff!
I gave them a $200 deposit. Coordinated the delivery of a semi with all our furniture. The person in charge didn't show as agreed and would not return my phone calls! I had to hurry and arrange storage with community storage down the road which was not controlled climate as they were full. They never returned my multiple calls, never refunded my money. Even went to the antique mall that is owned by the same people and could never get the owner to respond! Stay clear of this dishonest place. Probably a blessing in disguise not sure how secure your belongings would be with those people.
I had my items stored here for probably a year. The two stars because it is a nice facility. Other than that I would not suggest renting a unit here. The limited open hours are pointless because there is rarely anyone working, which means the building is locked and you can't access your items. Of the 20 or so times I visited, someone was there probably 4 times. I once drove an hour to load items into my unit, and had to drive back home with a full car load because they would not answer their phones. Very frustrating. There was another day with 3 clients waiting out front to get in - during "open" hours, and one was trying to get his passport out of his unit to get on a flight. If you plan on accessing the unit regularly, consider another location.
