Went in for a cleaning they wanted to do x-rays. They Told me I had 13 cavities, they told me I needed to get them taken care of before my insurance ran out. So I scheduled 3 appointments and they did 4 and 5 cavities at a time. One appointment I was in the chair 4 hours because I was waiting on them to do other people. I was in a lot of pain and they told me to come in if it continued, so I did. They told me I had Pulpitis? Which is when your nerves are inflamed. They Told me I had to wait it out for a month. After a month of living on pain meds the pain still wasn't gone and I woke up one morning with my face swollen. Aparently He did a cavity that was deep without warning me first and now is infected (thus the swelling) it is touching my nerve and that's why I have been in pain the past month and currently. They Said I need a root canal which insurance doesn't cover. So I Schedule root canal and they call me and tell me I have to pay. I went in for a cleaning no pain, have the work done and live in constant pain and I have to pay to fix it.......I'm going to my friend an hour away to get the root canal done so I know I won't have any more complications! After getting one root canal done still in pain, turns out I need another root canal $2,000 that I don't have in order to get out of pain. Wanted to leave a review so others that are on a fixed income won't have to shell out money for their mistakes.
Made me feel the MOST comfortable I have ever been at the dentist. Always makes sure that I am okay and don't feel any pain. They also allow me to decide what work I want done and when. Very gental and understanding on fears etc.
I've been to five different family dentists and I have to say that Great Lakes is by far the best one I've been to. The staff is amazing and the office is very clean.
This is a great dentist office! The office staff is amazing!
I would give this place a big fat zero if I could. The receptionist has poor listening skills and scheduled my son for a teeth cleaning when he only needed to be checked for a cavity. Then his appointment was moved all the way out in August when he already had a cleaning appointment scheduled for July. The receptionist should be fired in my opinion. Im already having a bad impression and we haven't even made it passed the door yet.
