AS A STORE: I purchased my prescription scuba mask, snorkel, and fins from them and also they refunded a used wetsuit that my mom bought for me, but was too small. I have never had any sort of hassle with this shop and highly recommend them!!! Great people!
Great staff, super helpful! I got my certification through them, and they're all the nicest people I've come in contact with. The store is priced reasonably, and they will go out of their way to help you. Highly recommend!
AS SCUBA INSTRUCTORS: My mom and I both went through the Scuba Certification Courses through Leaird's and found the staff to be professional, personable, and extremely knowledgeable! I suffered from some fear/anxiety during the class, but the instructors were VERY patient, understanding, and encouraging with me. . . and I got certified! By my last check-out dive, I felt so (surprisingly) comfortable! They will push you in the class to do some pretty crazy things---but you will feel such a feeling of accomplishment and badassness after doing them, that it will help strip you of any fears that you have. By the way, I was a size (woman's) 28/30 or so when I took this course, so as long as you are in good health, size should not be an issue!!
I've heard some VERY GOOD things about the training provided by this business and I look forward to taking a course or 2.
This place is a joke. Very unprofessional with Tammy yelling profanity out front of the shop with my 2 year old standing there all because her friend used her name and wanted to act like someone was trying to screw them over yet they screwed my two boys out of $100 for mowing sharrys yard out in cow in that was an Ackerman and it was two foot tall them boys busted there ass and these people screwed them they can't be trusted I sure would to recommend them to anyone there a disgrace. Expecualy since they have my two youngest children scrared to death from the way Tammy yelled and screamed at them some people are just pothetic
I have been diving since 1988. My kids took their certification through Tom's shop and we later took the advanced course. Their courses make better divers... Period. They don't rush your through some express program. At the end of the course you are not just certified, but you are a knowledgeable diver with the skill set to dive safely. As for their store... These people are focused on whats best for the customer. Their service is far above and beyond what one would expect. Their focus is on making good safe divers and getting you whats right for you, not just getting the sale. They take the time in their shop to educate you and make sure you get the right product for your needs. I was once in a jam heading on vacation for a dive trip. I wont go into details, but they helped me out in a way you would never expect most businesses to do so. I give them the highest recommendation.
