I would absolutely never recommend anyone to do business with Michael’s Shoe Repair. With the experience I had there, I am absolutely shocked they are still in business. I have never been spoken to with such disrespect in my entire life, let alone in an establishment in which I was a paying customer. The owners’ tone of voice, belittling comments and complete lack of professionalism about how they had lost my shoes is an experience I will never forget. This situation could have been handled with professionalism and class, as the owner should have been apologetic for their mistake and carelessness with my property, instead I left the store feeling verbally attacked by the owner and without my shoes that I had entrusted in their care and paid for them to repair. I would highly recommend anyone in need of shoe repair to search for and commute to any shoe repair store in the area verses subjecting themselves to Michael’s Shoe Repair’s unprofessionalism.
My daughter's choir shoes that were loaners from the school were made to look like new. The heels had the nail sticking out of them and she had slipped on them before and had a concert coming up that weekend. The courteous lady behind the counter (I think it was the owner's wife) suggested they get rubber tips and also get the bottoms sanded. It only took one day and they look fabulous. Too bad they're going back to the school. Whoever has them next year won't have to worry about breaking her neck. GREAT JOB.
